. BIOGRAPHY
After growing up in
New York City, I now live in "fly-over country "(aka Minnesota).
I write mainly large-cast youth plays because I am a firm believer
in giving young performers a theatrical experience and a chance to
"shine" and grow.
I do venture into the world of adults from
time-to-time and have developed one full length play for actresses
over the age of 45 (because there is a wealth of talent and not
enough venues for them) and many short plays for performers of
all ages.
When I am not at the computer, I am teaching
theatre to students K-12 but specialize in teaching and writing for
teenagers. Teens have enriched my life in so many ways and I
give gratitude for their humor, critical thinking, editing and willingness
to help me create new works for them. I am especially indebted
to the teenagers in my classes and shows at Lakeshore Players, (White
Bear Lake, MN) and The Phipps Center for the Arts (Hudson, WI) who
have lent me their talents in developing my plays.
